‘The Land of Forgotten Time’
The Land of Forgotten Time offers a window into stillness, into the gentle, slow beauty of overlooked places. It is a reminder that slowness is sacred, and that art, like nature, doesn’t need to shout to speak.
The Land of Forgotten Time is the inaugural work in my Living Landscapes Series, each piece in the collection is designed to move gently, subtle shadows shifting on the ground, skies that drift quietly overhead, and the barely perceptible breath of wind across a forgotten field.
I want the landscape art on my walls to be more than static images.
This is the first in a planned series of twelve pieces. With each new work, I’m building on this vision — layering time, motion, and emotion into the environments I create.
The Land of Forgotten Time is just the beginning of a much larger story, and I’m excited to see where it leads.
Artwork shown here at 6x the speed to get a stronger feeling of the overall motion of the original.
Research & Development
Using the AI generated concept work below, I used the software package, Houdini, to simulate, loop and render 3D stratocumulus style clouds for this piece.
Since the cloud simulations werent enough for my liking I also layered in some higher altitude clouds in the form of timelapse photograpy.
